"caption": "The same neutral LO force used in the solved transfer amplitude is fitted only to ordinary tritium. Keeping that force fixed as nn becomes bound shifts the triton pole; the BBN rate-substitution experiment instead retains ordinary tritium. At Bnn=2.5 MeV the mismatch is about 3.285 MeV, much larger than the cutoff and quadrature differences. Those differences do not measure omitted EFT orders. The right-hand panel holds helium-3 binding and particle masses fixed solely to display weak Q values. It does not calculate a charged three-body response or any lifetime. No phase-dependent counterterm is refitted to conceal the mismatch.",
"alt_text": "The calculated tritium binding rises while the rate-substitution network holds it fixed. Under a fixed helium-3 illustration, the displayed tritium beta channel closes and electron capture opens.",
